Privacy Policy
This policy explains how We are Equi collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use our marketplace. We operate from Sweden and process data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data controller
The data controller is WeFlipped Group AB (org.nr 559535-6857), operating We are Equi from Sweden.

2. Data we process
Depending on how you use the service, we may process:
- Account data — email address, authentication identifiers, and profile details you provide;
- Listing data — horse descriptions, media, location at the level you choose to publish, and seller contact details shown on listings;
- Inquiry data — messages you send to sellers through the platform;
- Technical data — IP address, device/browser type, approximate location derived from IP, and logs needed for security and operation;
- Consent & preference data — cookie choices and browser-stored preferences (for example saved horses);
- Support correspondence — when you contact us.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Provide the marketplace (accounts, listings, inquiries) — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR);
- Secure and operate the platform — legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)), balanced against your rights;
- Legal obligations — where we must retain or disclose data under Swedish/EU law (Art. 6(1)(c));
- Optional analytics and marketing cookies — consent (Art. 6(1)(a); ePrivacy). You can withdraw anytime via Cookie settings.
5. Retention
We keep account and listing data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward needed for disputes, security, and legal obligations. Inquiry and log data are kept only as long as necessary for the purposes above, then deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- rectify inaccurate data;
- erase data (“right to be forgotten”);
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- data portability; and
- withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
To exercise rights, email privacy@weareequi.com. You may also lodge a complaint with Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY) or your local EU supervisory authority.
7. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and least-privilege practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Children
The service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Contact us if you believe we have done so.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, additional notice on the site.
